I know you think it's personal but the undercurrent of racism in your posts is pretty pervasive.
I didn't say the backlash against Riley Cooper was excessive nor unwarranted - like Maniac you want to stretch the truth to make your point stronger.

My point was that training camp fights happen often and Williams is a player that fights in general. I'm not defending Cooper's actions but I'm not going to pretend that Cary Williams is a mild-mannered guy who doesn't like to mix it up. Just like I'm not going to pretend that Jackson hasn't had rumors of immaturity and instances of letting his play suffer surrounding him for several years.

Maniac wants to make the Cooper/Williams fight part of his grand argument that alludes ever so subtly that a group of racist Eagles players and coaches worked to keep Cooper and have Jackson removed from the team. And he's been doing it by stretching the truth to make it sounds worse than it is.

You want to say that it's an undercurrent of racism that I point this out? That's your prerogative I suppose but I find it ridiculous.

I'm just quoting you. You said, "Nothing that I've seen has been said about Cooper as a problem as a teammate on the Eagles aside from backlash to his slur. (Cooper's "slur" wasn't the problem the BACKLASH to the "slur" was the problem)" and then "There was a fight during training camp with one teammate who has a history of starting and trying to start fights. (again, the "slur," which was really a racist tirade, didn't cause the fight, the one and only team mate with a history of starting fights caused the fight)"

That's the racist undertone, right there. When you refer to Riley Cooper you craft language (either consciously or not) to depict him as mostly a victim of circumstance.

Now I don't believe you're racist. However, I believe you are so obsessive and shameless in your support of the Eagles' management that you have no problem adopting the narrative which was initially devised by racist Riley Cooper supporters in the wake of his incident last summer to make Cooper more sympathetic. And you're doing it with such passion that you don't see the obvious racist undertones of your remarks.

Hahaha. A moral victim of circumstance? This is the problem right here. And you're not quoting me, you're embellishing my words to mean something else.

Cooper was a drunken asshole and at some level for most people - "in vino veritas". He deserved all the backlash and vitriol he received for being not only a drunken asshole but one yelling a racial slur or racist threat to be more accurate to your point. He's not a victim and I've never considered him one. Hopefully he's changed. After the incident during training camp with Williams (who understandably was probably pissed at Cooper but is also a hot head on the field) there appeared to be no other issues with him from his teammates.

The real problem here is that if someone makes a point that Cooper and Jackson and the controversy surrounding them is unequal it's turned into extreme support for the racist Cooper and extreme lack of support for Jackson or support for the ever-evil FO.

Cooper has nothing to do with Jackson being released aside from production on the football field that apparently lowered Jackson's comparable value.

So don't make me a Cooper apologist of some kind. And big deal that you call me a FO fluffer. As we all know, on Igglephans you're either a fluffer or a hater when it comes to the Eagles FO. There's no middle ground. Now it's just transitioning into you're either a racist FO fluffer or a non-racist FO hater. And that's absurd. That's what I'm trying to point out with Maniac from the start.

DeSean's big bro#7 even says he needs to mature.

"I think sometimes it takes a change in your life to understand really what needs to happen, and the course that needs to be set," Vick, now with the Jets, said March 25 on SNY's Daily News Live. "Maybe it's time for a change for DeSean to help him understand the maturation process of his young NFL life and his personal life.”

Well I am glad to see you dialed it back.

But please don't act like the quotes I used, weren't made by you, word for word.

I didn't rearrange them, "embellish" them, or take them out of context. I just explained how the structure of those statements favored Cooper and placed the blame on those reacting to Cooper's actions.

If you don't like being called out for your underhanded manner of discourse don't be so bombastic in the silly comparisons you draw. And, simply for consistency and fairness, don't accuse others of "stretching the truth to make their arguments stronger" when you go to such lengths to put words in other people's mouths like when you state

I'm not trying to dial anything back for you.

You embellished multiple things I said. You implied that I said the backlash was excessive and unwarranted. False. You said that I made Cooper a victim. False.

And Maniac has been beating the race drum. Instead of just saying Kelce is anti-Jackson, he said he and a few other rednecks on the team (yet to be mentioned) are anti-Jackson. There are no racial undercurrents in that but there are in what I say? Give me a break.

And it's not like this is new ground for him with his team.

Every time I disagree with you - you resort to personal attacks. That's your tactic. I know it well by now. If you think it's going to deter me from calling you on bullshit - it's not. The only thing to deter me from calling you on bullshit is if you stop spouting bullshit.

Hehehe, you're a legend in your own mind. That's the only bullshit in this thread.
