  • I still think they did DJacc dirty

but at the end of the day all I care about is them winning. In that respect, I really don't give a shit who is on the team. I've never really cared whether players were "character guys" as long as they produced. I'll gladly hold the Eagles organzation to the same standard; problem is, they haven't produced yet.

This is how I feel. I just want them to win. I don't care if a player kills dogs, drops N-bombs, Atlantic Drive Compton Crip, poser, or sells blue meth.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

I care about a player's character. Don't like Riley Cooper one bit. Don't like Trent Cole one bit. Don't like Evan Mathis either. Wouldn't give a rat's ass if all of them were off the team tomorrow. I had a real problem when they first signed Vick. Made me sick, actually. But Vick proved to be a changed person and deserves props for turning his life around.

I don't know Jackson but he doesn't strike me as a bad person. Naivé? yes. Immature? Probably a little. Highly emotional? Pretty sure he is. I don't find those things to be serious problems if he produces on the stage. I have a big problem with people supporting 30 round magazines for guns. I have a big problem with people pissing on government signs because you think some whacked out political group was unfairly targeted for tax violations... Especially one named after a tax revolt! And I have a big problem with all southern rednecks.

Character matters to me, although my idea of good character likely differs from many of you.

Just to be clear, character matters to me when evaluating my own actions. It matters to me with regard to my friends, family, co-workers, etc. It doesn't matter to me so much when it comes to the players I watch play football on Sunday. That's entertainment.

I don't think Jackson is a bad guy either. He's done wome really good things off the field.

I'm not sure I so closely associate character with politics. I know many high character individuals with whom I disagree - some on issues that are very important to me. People are complicated.

Character. I have character on the outside - business owner, family man, nice house.

In the past year I have:

              - bought contraband off a street corner
              - jerked off in my wife's friends shower
              - pissed the bed blind drunk
              - rented porn off the hotel TV and charged it to a client
              - threw my middle finger up at my old next door neighbor and told him to go fuck himself in his mouth

People are complicated indeed...character is subjective and frankly I don't put much stock in someone claiming others have character. Nor do I care, especially when it comes to athletes. I don't need to like them.

ending with basically "I'm better than you." Dude just let the statement stand on its own. And there are plenty of rednecks up north, and for that matter, in SoCal
