  • Name some straightforward sports franchises

I kind of started on this in another thread, but can you name an honest franchise out there, who would give a frank, honest explanation to this situation?

I don't know that there's one out there who would. I think the closest thing would be the Steelers. Last time I remember something comparable happening there was Santonio Holmes doing a wake and bake, them publicly saying that was not OK, and trading him.

But even with the situation mentioned above, I'm sure the Rooneys still keep to themselves.

Exactly. Just take a look at the "Gold Standard" Patriots organization. They are one of the most shady, cutthroat organizations out there. As long as you win, fans and players will forgive you. The Eagles just need to keep winning...or start winning, depending on how you look at it.

The Eagles could have shot down the gang angle without being straightforward. This looks like a vendetta because they couldn't make a trade.

What should they have said we looked into it and he isn't In a gang? What if he is? What if the Eagles don't know what's going on with him? What if the uncertainty to his friends that are I a gang weighed into cutting him?

I'd like to know why Avant was released. They should explain their thinking with that move to put to rest the theories that he was a serial child murderer.

I understand what you are saying, but the Eagles seem to be an incredibly drama filled organization. It's always drama with them.

Agree completely. It can feel like this shit always/only happens to us, but take a step back and look at all the teams and I'm not sure that's the case.

It is seldom in any team's best interests to give a "straight" answer about any dicey situation.
