It's true and if they were smart (Amaro is not) they would trade him before he drops down to .260 and/or he gets one of his patented lingering injuries.

Any player that any team calls about should be traded. The sooner a total rebuild starts, the sooner the Phillies actually matter again.

Unfortunately, RAJ can't evaluate other team's prospects (Phillippe Aumont, Tyson Gillies, J.C. Ramirez, Tommy Joseph, Seth Rosin, Josh Lindblom, Ethan Martin, etc). He's actually now worse than Ed Wade.

I think that any potential trade partner would anticipate Utley to slow down and/or get injured. But if Utley can jist be what he was last year, which is realistic, he is very valuable to a contender. Of course, RAJ is also aware that Utley brings value to the Phillies just through how likable he is, and possibly would rather get a few more wins now and sell some more tickets than land a prospect.
