A sad day for AC/DC fans

Brothers Malcolm Young, George Young and Angus Young, 2012 (photo from Facebook) By Darryl Mason UPDATE, SEPT 29, 2020: A poster appears...

I didn't even know Malcolm had a stroke three weeks ago so this came totally out of the blue for me. We last saw them in '09 which just happened to be the same night the Phils won their second straight NL crown right across the street. For the wife and I, AC/DC were the standard for high-energy, kick-ass rock shows.

Never knew Malcolm was the brains behind the band. Well they had a hell of a run

Wish them the best and a big thanks for keeping it real for such a long time.

that sucks, man. glad I got to see them 2x during their peak years back in the 80's.

they were the 1st band I ever bought albums of with summer lawn mowing wages. I saved up for a couple weeks, rode my bike to Kmart (uphill both ways), and bought Back in Black, Dirty Deeds, and Highway to hell at the same time. Got sick of borrowing them from my neighbor. Literally listened to them non stop all summer. My mom took Deeds away when she overheard Big Balls.

all were 12 inches, just like Riccardo's favorite dildo.

... and like Riccardo, you cranked it up because you couldn't get enough of it.

Remember B. Johnson starting off the concert acknowledging the Phils, saying he knows Philly has something special going on tonight. Can't believe that was in 2009.
                  You think its a joke!?!

That's cool. We had 5th row center for their show at the Spectrum in '01 and my hearing was shot for a week. I owe a good deal of my hearing loss to that great band

They came across as down-to-earth dudes who refused to follow fads and stayed true to themselves which I admired.

                      I'm gonna miss them bigtime.

An update: I heard on our local rock station(103.7 FM downashore) today that Brian Johnson is refuting the story about the band's soon-to-be-announced retirement. Malcolm did suffer a stroke but he's planning to keep working to get himself back into fighting shape.

                        Stay tuned....
