To me van noy is a blitzing edge rusher with some upside. He is right there with dee ford but has a larger frame. You get him up to 260 and he could be a plus starter. This is why I would love the eagles to trade back. You could do some damage in this draft with three second round picks.

Could be a Willie T type...

If he is truly close to 240lbs I could see him being A Derrick Brooks type of talent. Man I could see him wrecking shit all over the field in Davis's defense. Barwin on 1 side and him on the other?

LB crew of those 2 plus Ryans and Kendricks could be nasty. A little small but 3 of the 4 are great athletically.

I despise OSU but am starting to want Shazier to be the pick at 22 for us.
Solid run support but great at coverage.

I think any LB they take in the 1st would get plenty of playing time. Their entire LB corps played WAY too many snaps last season. Part of that was lack of quality depth. Ryans could get spelled on passing downs. Cole can rush from the DE spot with the rookie taking his spot at OLB. There are lots of places to pay a versatile rookie, and I have to think any LB they draft in the 1st would have to be versatile.

I'm willing to give Chip the benefit of the doubt no matter which way they go, but I'll sleep a whole lot better Thursday night if the Eagles are in possession of another starting-caliber LB.

Its hard to justify drafting a non-quarterback in the first round who is gonna sit on your bench for a year. I'm not buying the keuchly comparisons either. Keuchly was far better at disengaging blocks than mosely. Shazier is not a first rounder this year either. I actually like van noy more than shazier.
They will need replacement for Demeco his ability to drop in coverage does not equate to his cap hit. ...don't see Mosely sitting that long ....still would have to get past the Bears and Packers

Guy on another board who seems to have good connection with the org says the three guys the Eagles love are Mike Evans, Ha-Ha Dix and CJ Mosely but that they don't think they even have a chance to move up to get them. They also really like Odell Beckham but are not convinced he gets to 22 either. Apparently they don't like Pryor that much and prefer Deonte Buchanan at safety. Another name to watch is Jeremiah Attouchu the rush OLB from Georgia Tech. Just passing this along.

Attaochu is purely a pass rusher...but that's what they flatout need

I like how "now" he's a lock, even though NFL teams have had grades on these guys for a while now. I really don't think teams shit themselves over Pro Day performances the way these writers do.
