Most exciting signing since Clifton Gaethers.

This reeks of a publicity stunt and I hate that

This dude put in some major work to get here, even if it wasn't on the football field. I'd hate to think that the Eagles would just trot him out there for some good press. I hope he does really well and earns a roster spot, but I don't see it happening.

They didn't drag his name through the mud

So which is it? Did they do a disservice for not speaking or did they drag a player's name through the mud? Because if the front office said nothing than how can they drag his name through the mud?
but they sure as hell let everybody else do it. That makes them just as responsible.

He gets paid and gets publicity. I don't think it's a stunt, though. Chip loves military guys.

If he's got the talent to go along with the size

My post was 150% in a joking manner. Sorry you didn't take it that way.

and at 6'9, he's more like the noodles.

He's a camp body. But if you're gonna sign a camp body, you could do worse than sign one who has played three positions and whose presence has the potential for a positive effect in terms of culture building.

At the very least, he adds some perspective, and this league has a lot of young players (and not so young - here's looking at you Evan Mathis) who could use a dose of it.

I have no problem at all with the move.

Worth taking a shot on. If he has any talent he could be a matchup problem wherever he plays. Should be a good character guy. Put him as a goal line TE and he could have some potential, though it's hard justifying keeping a man on the active roster for goal line plays only.

The Sixers may give him a shot.
