Dirt is great overall but then again They're all great with Staley. Sap and JOF are epic. Dirt is extremely dark and depressing.

Down in a hole is fantastic though. Rooster got overplayed but is solid. God smack I always loved the riff.


Angry chair probably 2nd best song on that album.

True story: An old college buddy of mine lived with Staley and Mark Lanegan for a while out in Seattle. Some very dark stories.

They put on an epic performance at Lolla III in Stanhope, NJ.

Hard to compare SAP - JOF to their harder albums but I'd go

JOF > SAP > facelift > dirt

Their self titled album after dirt I might like better than dirt.

Never cared much for the grunge thing when it was big. Had a particular hate for Stone Temple Pilots. Still do. However I have come to appreciate AIC over the years. Favorite is Unplugged. Also liked the first Cantrell solo record.

You want to hear a great grunge record, try Dinosaur Jr "Bug".

Can't say I care much for Pearl Jam either. Couple good tunes though. State of Love and Trust from the Singles soundtrack is a keeper.

Agreed but Soundgarden gets a lifetime exemption for Big Dumb Sex.

Agreed totally. Ten is incredible and their 2 songs on singles are great. Even temple of the dog had it's moments. But I quit listening to them after vitology. Vedder just seems like a whiny bitch and most of the songs sound the exact same to me.
