Dan Baker has got to be getting up there. I think the was the announcer when the Vet first opened.

I can see where it might be getting about time for him to retire but I am really worried about "the other direction" the Eagles' will be going in. If it's anybody who fits in with their other gameday A/V it's probably not going to be good.

Hopefully it's someone competent and informative but I fear it's more likely going to be someone loud, obnoxious and good at reading ads.

The gameday experience does need to be jazzed up, but the PA announcer always seemed to be way down the list of things you notice. I don't know if there are rules about in-game use of the PA system, but it seems like most of the problems with how dry it was with what he was being asked to say, rather than how he said it.

He made some other announcements but that was his primary job. They have other people doing the player intros, game break stuff, etc.
