  • This Board Has Been Brutal To Read This Weekend

Just Sayin' I understand we've been let down time and time again, but how about we let these guys at least play a game or two before bashing them. Until Chip lets me down, In Chip I Trust!!!!

The only real contention I had with this draft is that they passed on a top flight cornerback (Dennard) when this team needs better DB's I think Matthews was a good pickup, and I'm intrigued by Beau Allen. Nice to have a big guy to help stuff the run, so Curry doesn't get bowled over again.

I think a lot of the negative types look at it like this:

31 teams fail every season. Most players that enter the NFL are unsuccessful or out of the league in a short amount of time. It's much cooler to be negative from the start and to assume the worst of the team/player that way you get an "ITYS" as opposed to being optimistic and being let down.

If you're negative and they win or are good, you still get to celebrate.

      Win/win.

It's true and I believe anyone that has been put through a lifetime of being a Philadelphia sports fan has a right to have that line of thinking.

I'm not holding it against anyone. I've only put up with it for 27 years. I still have some optimism left. Give me a little bit of time, and I might be right there too.

I originally registered and picked the handle cause I just couldn't take reading the insanely biased posts by the infamous super Wangnut known as af while sitting on the sideline as a mute. So, I am by no means a koolaid drinking mindless minion. I think they were caught off guard when NO traded up and Green Bay Took Dix though they still managed to fill a need with one of only a couple guys left that could have done so and got another player in the process. They still got their wideouts without losing focus on their defense. The udfa kicker has a real shot at winning the gig and most of the guys drafted can contribute immediately on special teams. This team is deeper and has better character than last year. Now let's get behind them and see how it plays out. It's waaay too early to jump off of this new regime's bandwagon. PS: I Was Fuckin Pissed Thursday Night! ; )
