  • So what are the touchback numbers on Murderleg's kickoffs?

All these big hits he's laying on returns just means he's not getting the ball to the endzone and the rest of special teams is providing piss poor coverage.

Last year, with the kickoff line moved to the NFL standard 35 yard line, he was 46 of 66 for touchbacks. He was 22 of 63 in 2012 when NCAA was still kicking from the 30 yard line.

Just for comparison, Henery the Geighth was 37 TBs on 90 KOs (41%).
Looks like best in the league was Graham Guano @ 79%, Prater was 71% (Mile High aided); Gostowski was 65%.

The one time I saw Murderleg kick live (he split duties in 2011 and never kicked a FG against Tennessee) was this past season when he had a crucial field goal die at the goal line in Knoxville. Small sample size, I know, but I'm not sure he'll be any improvement over the Geigh One. At least he wasn't a 4th rounder though
