    He wasn't a "normal" 7th round pick

But again, no need to drag that back up. The bottom line is this show is wrong because it contradicts what he himself said about wanting this to be all about football. There's no way around that.

Wholeheartedly agree. Contradiction indeed. As if the situation wasn't gonna be a battle from it becoming a distracting, media-circus from the get-go. He should've squashed this idea from the moment it was introduced to him but Lord knows how much they're paying him for it.

No doubt about it. I can't believe that Jeff Fisher is cool with this, though.

Jeff Fisher doesnt care because Sam will be cut in the first round of camp casualties.

Wait ... you mean those fights between the pissed off patrons and that big ass security guard on Hardcore Pawn are staged???

EDITED TO ADD: Fuck it ... I don't care. Some of them are still funny as balls.

If I were a conspiratorially-minded person, I might think this opportunity was in the works before the draft happened, and that someone thought the crying, kissing, and cake-smashing would make for a very emotional end to a first episode. And if that's were the case, the draft reaction was staged and it was not completely "just about the football" for Mr. Sam.

But I'm sure that's not the case.

Either way, as was mentioned above, sounds super geigh.

Doesn't HBO already have a reality show that follows bums through training camp until they get cut?

Of course the reaction was staged. Why else would there be cake? This reality TV show didn't just pop up Saturday night. This has probably been in the works since he came out.

Do you think that one day his boyfriend might end up on Real Football Wives of St. Louis?

He appeals to the right demographics for Oprah. Must see TV for DQ.

Can't fault anybody for taking the bucks. This is America.
