  • If History tells us anything Gus Bradley will win a Super Bowl in Jax.

In 1994, shortly after Jeffrey Lurie bought the team, Lurie failed to agree to terms with Dick Vermeil because he was not willing to relinquish an appropriate amount of power. Lurie was then unable to secure his top candidate, Mike Shanahan, and, after interviewing Tony Dungy, Lurie settled on Ray Rhodes.

Are you saying Lurie or Vermeil wouldn't relinquish an appropriate amount of power? I read the article and Vermeil, after a 12 year absence, wanted to be both head coach and GM. Lurie, as I read it, wanted to be apprised of all the moves that were made but told him the final decision was his.
