Pretty crazy. And just after he bought the Inquirer, which I thought was a good thing. They say the deal is still going through but who knows now.

Wow. I saw headlines about a crash before running out of the house, but there was no mention of who was on board.

I left thinking there seems to be a lot of small aircraft crashes...

Now just another crazy twist to the story.

Lewis Katz also owned the Nets at one time and was a leading philanthropist in the region, especially for Jewish organizations One of my old bosses went to high school with him...interestingly Camden Catholic...and remained close to him right up until his tragic loss.

        RIP Lew.

I think he was a Temple alum. Is that correct?

Drew Katz will take over his father's role in the company.

                  What a terrible tragedy

For his family and the entire region.

Lew coached my little league team when I was young. Great guy then, greater guy since.

My condolensces to the entire family - feel terrible for Drew and the rest.

It gets worse. The mother of somebody I graduated with at East was also on the plane. Horrible news.
