PER doesn't mean everything. It wasn't easy for anyone in New York last year. There's a reason, though, why the Knicks have gotten calls for Shumpert since he's been in the league. But okay, you don't like Shump. That's fine. By no means is he a franchise player. Get Hardaway instead. Hell, you could get Aaron McKie and it would still be a good move because it leaves 50 mil in space with a few good players to build around. Don't act like it wouldn't be a good move and I don't know anything I'm talking about just because you want to join the crowd and bash me.

Sixers trading for Stoudamire and Hardaway JR or Shumpert?

I just don't know why you think it's this great fucking deal? They have the cap space regardless. Neither Shump nor Hardaway is a significant upgrade over what you already have. Why make this deal? It does nothing to help your future at all.
Trading Thad for draft picks that can be packaged does. Making a trade with Houston for Lin, Clint Capela or Terrence Jones and a 1st does. This deal does not
You threw out a dumb statement. Just own it bro.Last edited by Sect 236; 07-08-2014, 05:47 PM.

I didn't throw out any dumb statements, aside from thinking Mullens was still there, which I acknowledged was wrong. I'd rather have a better draft pick of my own if I'm Hinkie than trade with Houston for a low 20s pick and get a couple of players who are likely gone after 1 year and will probably contribute enough to push my own pick later in the draft. Lin and Jones don't help the future any more or less than Hardaway and/or Shumpert, but they would not benefit the team next season enough to contend. They should tank again and come out in full force for 2015, though if you're a Sixers fan I see how that would not be the most attractive option.

All I have to say

Thad is their best moveable piece and this guy wants to send him to NY for a pair of mediocre guards, an overrated forward with a terrible contract, and most importantly NO draft pick?
If the Sixers do this trade they won't have to give up anything. And if they do take on Amare they'll probably just cut him like they did with Granger.

What a dumb fucking waste

Stop posting, especially about the Sixers, LAKER fan.

He has literally no idea what he's saying anymore. First he hypes up Shump or Hardaway as the best wing the Sixers would have, then he says neither is good, or good enough to win more games next year.
He says the Sixers should take the NYK deal because it helps them tank better, with doing well in the draft being the goal, but then says they'd be dumb to do the HOU deal even though that deal would net another pick, specifically the Pels pick.
He's all over the place. A fucking outsider with limited NBA knowledge trying to tell Sixers' fans what's best for the team they follow, the same team he's already admitted he doesn't follow.
I am 100% certain the second Phil Jackson says "and you include Thaddeus Young" Hinkie just hangs up the phone. If only Hinkie was as smart as Eminem's backwoods retarded cousin we have here.

You guys are too hung up on a fucking Youtube video and where I'm from to look at anything I say and not attack it. If I said that the nation's capital used to be in Philadelphia, you guys would start talking about how I'm an inbred rapping hick who doesn't know shit about geography.Last edited by JDuggernaut; 07-08-2014, 07:05 PM.

After thinking it over, you could do both deals. Trade Young for Amare, Shump or Hardaway, and new York's 2017 1st rounder. Maybe throw in a 2nd to get it done. Then, you trade some minimal salaries to Houston for Lin, Jones, Capela, and next year's 1st from NO. Sixers probably wouldn't win more than 35, but they would probably be more watchable than last year. They could likely land in the top 10 with their own pick, then possibly have another lottery pick from Houston via NO. You could decide whether or not you wanted to opt in on Jones and the 2nd player you get from NY, opt in on Noel and MCW, renounce your rights to all other players, and you have about 50 mil in cap space for the next summer, to go with Saric coming in a couple of years (maybe Capela as well) and 5 1st rounders in the next 3 years. That would be a great situation to have if you're the 76ers, and no one can argue that.

Cool, Stealth. A couple of handfuls of people on one board don't respect me or take me seriously. I've noticed, believe it or not. That's okay though. None of you know shit about me. You all think I'm a wigger and a hick, which couldn't be further from the truth. You think I'm dumb. I'm not. You think I have no knowledge of sports. I do. I don't need the approval of shit fetishists, bicycle enthusiasts, Northern elitists, and grumpy old men who are bitter about aging to feel worthy in life. I doubt you'd all be so cunty in person. Hell, you might even come around to liking me.
But, regardless of the bullshit, I'd like to see if anyone would tell me the trade proposal in my last post isn't a legitimately good one. You can't. People want to argue with anything I say just because I say it.Last edited by JDuggernaut; 07-08-2014, 08:46 PM.

The Houston trade you proposed (which I proposed earlier and you're now trying to pass off as yours) is a good trade (prolly because you didn't propose it).
Trading your most valuable trade chip for a useless Amare and one of two guards who aren't any better than what you already have is a dumb, useless trade.
You got one thing right, nobody respects you.
I'm bored of this discussion.Last edited by Sect 236; 07-08-2014, 09:16 PM.

Wasn't trying to propose it as mine, Sect. Sorry if that was the impression. I thought about it, acknowledged your idea was good, and incorporated it with mine since they can both be done. You can't tell me you wouldn't want 5 1st round picks in 3 years, anywhere from 4 to 7 solid players (if healthy and they pan out), and 50 mil in cap space. Combining the two trades would put the Sixers in a great position. But, I'm done with the topic now too. The horse I'm beating is dead.
