  • you heard it first here, Penn Staters

I just heard that this kid Mike Gesicki is headed to Happy Valley to play either tight end or wide receiver for the Nitts.

Have closely followed South Jersey high school sports for more than 40 years and this kid is one of the most exciting athletes I've ever seen. He went to Southern Regional, the public school for Long Beach Island and Manahawkin area. Only saw him play football once, but I have witnessed his basketball exploits many times. In last year's state tournament, his team had no business being on the same court with Atlantic City and he almost willed his team to a monumental upset, basically playing one-on-five.

He is something like 6-6, 240, but moves like a guard. In football he catches everything thrown his way and was a man among boys physically at the high school level. He's also a two-time state volleyball champ.

The thing that makes him so fun to watch is his leaping ability. Deff does not have White Man Disease. He puts the SICK in Gesicki.

Just remember your Uncle IG told you.

Just looked him up on ESPN Recruting. Had offers from OSU, FSU, THE U, Stanford and Wisconsin. Best part though…he also had offers from UMass and Old Dominion. Those two programs were dreaming big the day they offered him a scholarship.

That was a great ad campaign. I remember a DJ on morning radio was saying something on the air then all of a sudden there was sort of a click and he was silent. He came back on and said that he was putting on his headphones and they were too tight and they snapped shut on his face suddenly. He said, "I could've chose anywhere. I chose temple."

                  Nice headband.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

I don't want to burst your bubble too much

But those of us who follow recruiting, Penn State recruiting specifically, have known about this since he committed in October of last year. This was KG level breaking news.
