    Its about finances.
I don't think they will go after him either, and I said as much in my first post.

Seattle and San Fran didn't have a Top 100 WR in this year's countdown on the NFL Network. They win by pounding the rock, playing D and the WRs and TEs being good enough.

If the Eagles fix the D, with McCoy in Chip's offense, the WRs on the team already are good enough.

Unfortunately, the D is a tough fix.

2015 -2018 is when McCoy will be 26-29 years old and given NFL history, that's prime time for an RB...after that not so much
Defense is another story but the influx of youth suggests improvement there as well and they'll have had time to fine tune the scheme/players

And then there is the history of new coaches and they seem to hit their stride and win SBs in the 3rd-6th year of their reign
Its impossible to know for sure, but using history as a guide you can make some decent guesses about the Eagles window.

And if you look at how Vegas views the Eagles, one could surmise that they( you) are a year away.

25-1 to win it all and more importantly in the 3nd tier of teams

        http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/...in-totals.html

over/under wins is 9 and again in the 3rd tier of teams

First you knock on the door, then you knock the door down.
2014 is the year to knock on the door imo

Which brings us back to a descending 33 year old WR that the fantasy geeks all find attractive. ( mostly because they live in a fantasy world)

Its just not a smart move unless you are trying to prolong a window that is nearly closed.
Otherwise its a waste of limited resources that could be better spent elsewhere.
Build the offense through the draft ( Jordan Matthews) so they all grow together, build the defense through draft and add FAs because its a much smaller playbook and far fewer schemes than an offense, especially a Chip Kelly offense

Its a young man's game and Andre Johnson ain't a young man in NFL terms and for a window of 2015 -2018 he offers little or no value imo

        Others feel differently...

He's hurt sometimes but is still elite talent when on the field. I'd take 2 years of him for a shot at our first SB.

God that always hurts to type. It's ridiculous
With the 29th ranked Defense and tougher schedule this team will be one and done again if they even make the post season. They need D players not O players. The Big 4 in the NFC all have that not the Eagles.
