    Igglephans is the best

thanks everyone for your support. We bust balls but we also have each others' back. Appreciate all the posts, good wishes, texts, PMs (sorry the in-box was filled) calls and emails, really gratifying. Classy stuff from people on the other side of some of my views and from people I have been less than classy with. myself.

    Very, very much appreciated.

    Never a motherfuckin doubt.

I'm late and I'm sorry for that, but condolences Tim. He left basketball better than he found it. A great and good man.

        thanks buddy

Hey I thought you guys might appreciate this press photo of him I picked up on Ebay last week.

Its from 1957 when the games were mostly straight-up and the reams came out only when the outcome was well in hand. Known mainly for his shooting and passing, 5-ft-7 Red could use his speed earlier in his career to attack the basket. The 6-9 Gardner was from Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis, which also gave us Oscar Robertson. Love how Red is protecting the ball with a well-placed elbow. The year after this pic was taken, Gardner signed with the Knicks.
