The cost of tuition is so fucking out of whack with anything else in terms of inflation, they should be throwing a bone to any parent who can keep their kid out of debt.

What is it, 35 percent of college grads are living at home either because their degree doesn't get them a job or they have too much debt even if they are working?

I joined the army in large part to avoid taking on huge student loan debt. Even after using my VA benefits all through school, I still have to pay almost $400 a month in student loan payments.

At this point, what sense does it make for kids to drive themselves into crippling debt to obtain a commodity that is already flooding the market?

The Dot Com bubble bursting put an end to the Clinton era good years. The housing bubble nearly wrecked the country. I can only imagine the mess the student loan bubble is going to cause when it bursts. It's the biggest impending national crisis that no one is talking about.
