It's hard to have an opinion. Everyone loves the guy. He's given us some of the best memories we've had following the team. However, he brings next to nothing to the table right now. I remember during Spring Training, Amaro was lowering the bar, saying he'd be happy with 25 home runs from Howard this year.

I don't want to disrespect what he's done by saying, "trade him," and I don't want to encourage mediocrity by saying, "keep him," so I just say nothing.

Maybe the Phillies take the loss and release him.
