  • Sea Isle geezerphans

Looks like we lucked out with the weather - low 70s and cloudy. I was really dreading 90s and sun. So are we meeting somewhere prior to the start? What's the best parking options again?

    Good luck

Im going to park in the 80s and take the jitney to the start...unless I find something close to the start/finish line...highly unlikely.

Meet in front of the starting line about a half hour before the gun and we can get a pic together.

Thanks - I'm doing the same

I read the jitney doesn't start until 4 - we gotta get the packets by 4:30. Also is there a place to store a pack with car keys and some money?

Geezerphans, I salute you. I will wear pink panties tomorrow and tie my hair in pigtails to represent my level of wussification for not shlepping up there.

Im taking my car key off the chain and carrying it with me. Will take a dry longsleeve T-shirt to chan ge into and ask the lifeguards to hold it for me at the start/finish.

Also...I might have a place close to the start/finish were we can store stuff...I will text you...I have your number on my phone.

                The geezers survived

And allegedly Rothdog was there - tho never saw him. IG was right, so many great asses to follow. Lucked out on the weather, 90s and sunny would have been a meltdown for me

Sorry I missed you, I was looking for you guys at the start. I ended up starting all the way in the back, I saw IG mid race. How tough were the last 2 miles with the wind blowing? We'll share a belated celebratory beer at the gayte. I barely had the energy to have one last night afterwards.

                    yeah the end was tough

I started in the middle and it was a cattle jam. Some kid almost took me out in the first quarter mile - tripped my legs, luckily I didn't hit the pavement. Worst miles for me were 6-8, at least the wind cooled me off the last 2

The start was clustered, I had a few near trips. I'm still waiting for the official times to be posted. Did you end up staying in Sea Isle for the night?

                        What was your time?

I came in 96 minutes and change. From the paper listings I was 717th place - bwaaa! No didn't stay, just had a beer and pizza with IG's friends and bolted. 2 hr drive home

I think I was around 82 minutes or so, didn't see the paper. We'll do it better next year.
