  • Sick of hearing how the league "figured out" Kelly

I keep hearing from opposing NFC East fans how the rest of the NFL "caught up" to Kelly this year and benefited from all the film on the Birds, Foles, and Chip's offense.

    Hello????

Chip has a year under HIS belt now to "figure out" the NFL...that's gotta be good for something.

Haven't you seen the pics of Kelly's expanding midsection or read about his disdain for the combine? He's only been eating and basking in the glory of his NFC east "championship" since January.

The funniest part is, they're willing to admit he's an innovator, however, the league figured out his innovations.

If Chip has shown anything, it's that, as an innovator, he's not going to run an offense that is able to be "figured out." He's clearly not an Andy Reid type coach who is stuck in his ways. He will evolve with his game plans. Hell, he evolves from drive to drive sometimes.

      Laughable.

Edit to add: What is there really to "figure out." The guy runs an uptempo offense with well designed routes/blocking schemes. His style keeps the D from substituting/catching their breath and slowly wears you down.

It's 3rd and 4, Shady gets 3 yards, guess what…they're running another play, right away, and it's going to Shady. The D knows this, but guess what happens. First down.

Figure it out, who gives a fuck, you still have to stop it.

...stick with this "he's a gimmick" BS...like Sect. says...stop it, then you can say you figured it out.

            CCPenis is gonna be bummed.

Eskin was on last night and said Chip will be hanging around for pretty much as long as he wants. At least five years or so but more likely longer than that.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

They pray that they've got him figured out

That's about all they can do right now.

The only thing that matters about Chip Kelly is....

....whether he can adjust DURING a football game. THAT is what will set him apart from the other coaches in the league. The ability to think quickly under pressure. (something FF just could not do) Great coaches are born, they're not made. Greatness cannot be "figured out."

Concur 100% . I coach youth sports and strategic thinking under pressure is definitely the toughest part, even at this elementary level. I have another coach who helps me during our games and I help him during his. Its soooo much easier to see stuff when you aren't under the gun... and it makes perfect sense biologically. "Fight or flight" uses level 1 thinking and turns off level 2 thinking in order to save your life.
Really good coaches maintain level 2 thinking by not getting stressed in stressful situations. The great ones are always calm under fire
