The guys who they had returning kickoffs during the camp practiced I watched were (in this order, from what I could tell):

Carroll (out)
Huff (TD)
Brad Smith (not sure why he didn't get at least one shot)
Johnson
Sproles(?)

So...I tend to believe that Johnson simply got return reps so that none of the other more valuable guys wouldn't get hurt behind second- and third-string STers.

*As for Carmichael, I have no fucking idea. He is terrible.
