        Bullets and Burgers, haa.

I like the guy from the competing range bragging about how it would never happen at his place due to their supreme safety, adding " that a petite-looking child would likely only be allowed to shoot a semi-automatic rifle."

So does the "guns don't kill people, people kill people" argument apply here? Or was it just that the girls concerned parents were teaching their daughter to protect herself from the tyranny if the government.

Fucking dolts. This girl is old enough to understand what happened, and has to live with the mental reality of this because the adults responsible for her upbringing pushed their agenda on her. A nine year old doesn't wake up one day and decide she wants to fire an Uzi.

I'm all for responsible gun ownership, but there is some serious stupidity out there, dumb ignorant motherfuckers that gloss it all over as second amendment freedom. Can't wait to hear the excuse making from the gun nuts. Freedom!

There probably needs to be some sort of law stopping a child from being able to fire a gun. There is currently a law saying you need a license to operate a motor vehicle. Don't think for a second that some idiot wouldn't try to teach a 9 year old how to drive if it wasn't illegal, which could result in all sorts of damage or injuries/deaths.

Not sure why people are trying to politicize ignorance on the part of the people owning this range and the instructor who stood next to a limp wristed 9 year old girl when she went to fire an oozy.

Do you think all gun owners or people who are for gun rights would support this? I don't.

Idiotic to let a kid shoot an age-inappropriate weapon

Some states (like NJ) have hunter safety programs where kids 10 or older can take a hunter safety course and get a youth license (must still hunt with someone at least 21). I personally think 10 is too young, my son didn't get his license and start hunting until age 15.

At boyscout summer camp. Same with my son. 22 bolt action, safety measures out the wazoo

Just had this discussion with the wifey, 12 and over no biggy with long barreled rifles as long as you have the proper safety training.

Giving a 9 yr old an Uzi? The parent should be arrested and charged and that fin place should be shut down.

There are a lot of kids out here that are young and hunt all the time, no issues, BUT, have to have an extensive gun safety class, and be accompanied by an adult.

The issue here is either you had a spoiled brat kid that always got her way kicking and screaming and parents ok'ed it, or you had parents that thought she could handle it (not very smart on their part) I also have to wonder about the instructor?

I would think that at some point between at least three adults someone would have said an automatic weapon, on full auto, with live ammo, was well over the line.

Let's face it, you have to come up to the clown's hand just to ride the roller coaster.

Yeah I was shooting 16 guage at 9, and 308 at 10. If you can handle it its fine. Now this guy was a schmuck for letting that girl go full auto on anything.
