  • OT: NFL Season Opener: Pack vs Seahawks

2014 Season kicks off at CenturyLink Field on Thursday night
World Champion seahawks are a 6 point favorite at home

What does the definitive Eagle message board think ?

    Birds favoring birds ?
Or will the Green & Gold prevail ?

Don't see gb winning. I think they are going to have a problem getting off the field on d.

Tough call man. Its hard to call this one because I need to see how the refs are gonna call the game.

Will they let the Seahawk secondary be aggressive or will they keep throwing out flags like the preseason?

Can the pack's defense stop seattle's offense?
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

Totally agree. Seattle was the poster-child for the down-the-field rough-housing that led to the change. Seattle's D may look very different as a result, especially early in the season.

If it does indeed turn into a shootout, I have to believe that favors Rodgers over Wilson.

If the refs have as much to do with this game as they did the preseason, this could be a loooong season. Too many questions to bet on this game.

Seattle is a monster at home. I don't see packers staying with them last 1 1/2 quarters.

                  27-17 Seattle

I feel like Seattle will win, particularly at home, but that spread is tough because there will be at least one PI or defensive holding penalty against Seattle that favors GB, maybe even gets them a TD.

Green Bay. Rodgers and their new hurry up offense will neutralize the shit out of Seattle's defense.

This. That Raji injury is a killer.

Well it certainly doesn't help losing Raji...but a little perspective from behind the green & gold curtain might be in order
Raji's main role in 2014 is as NT in the base 3-4 and GB played base about 25 % of the downs last year...So while it will surely hurt, it isn't a death knell imo

Beating the uber-talented World Champs in their thunderdrome won't be an easy task, but my irrational exuberance allows me to still like our chances
Should be an exciting game to start the season.

I'll take the Packers in an upset special :D

I'm certainly not trying to rub it in (I wanted the Pack to win), but I believe having Raji tonight would have helped. Lynch diced them hard.
