Nice. I went for my first run in a while today and it was brutal. Were you on roads or trails?

Just a 5k. Really slow. I've been a lazy POS so I gotta just get into a routine again.

Yeah 72 is a long ride. I did 80 when I was at my top riding cconditioning but it took all day and it wiped me out for a week. I'll bet Ric's taint feels good.

          Roads

Charity ride for a local conservatory for the region I ride alot. A little over 4000 ft of climbing. I considered doing a full century but it was too hot and my ribs were really aching from a mountain bike crash wednesday. But at 70+ miles I still had something left so I'm pretty sure I can do 100.

I find that I have to run once a week

To prevent that "can barely walk" feeling the next day. 5K is a good distance - I usually do 3-5 miles

Come on out next summer and do it! Maybe by then my back will let me get back in the saddle.

Not terrible except at the end. Getting back is a hassle, there is a sharp climb to get back into Boulder. Forty miles round trip.
