I guess they gave Foles the smelling salts at halftime. He straight up missed guys a few times. I'll be interested to see some of the All-22 analysis...not sure if there was good coverage, Foles was hesitant to put balls into the space available or just waiting for the big play every time. He definitely missed on a couple throws to Matthews and failed to see Maclin running free on one sack, but hard to tell if Maclin just got open late when Foles was already succumbing to pressure.

Also, looked like Jags did a pretty good job against the run in the first half without stacking the box. At work, though, so only got to keep one eye on the game.

Wondering if today was the first time they showed a lot of stuff. Everyone is close to the vest in preseason, but maybe there were a lot of wrinkles that took time to get sorted out.

At the end of the day the stats looked OK, but Jacksonville should have never been in the game, let alone have a 17 point lead at halftime. Hopefully Foles will make the proper adjustments and not play like he did in the 1st again this season. Defense looked A LOT better in the 2nd half too. Only the 2nd win since the merger when down 17 at halftime.

Turning the ball over 3 times and still winning might be what he needed. I think often he gets into Alex Smith mode where he's TOO afraid to turn it over, thus, doesn't make all the plays. Proving to himself that he can make mistakes and still win games will give him confidence to go with his gut on reads, not hold onto the ball soo much and not overthink things.

He missed Matthews badly in the second, but otherwise looked fine. Not sharp, but fine. Although maybe he just looked so bad in the first that any improvement looked spectacular.

I wasn't a fan of some of the play-calling. The pump-fake, throw-back screen can go away a couple games, I think.

Good win. I'll take it. But man, Foles didn't look comfortable for at all to start.

He missed a couple throws. After they scored the two tds in the third qtr he missed some guys. He and Cooper never seemed to be on the same page and the offense stalled twice and ended giving up field position. They were definitely not clicking really at any point but had enough big plays at the end going away. I'm not saying he was bad but he didn't look good either.
