  • I wonder if Mcnumbnuts

Would have brought the Birds back today. I think he would have probably blown chunks midway through the 2nd half

As IE and I discussed walking to my car

We, although not discussing whether McNabb would, knew the FF wouldn't have.

      This is too obvious

He would have thrown an interception deep in Jacksonville territory when driving for the tie or go ahead points.

Yeah Reid was known for that.

he may have made the game competitive Reid/McNabb couldn't have pulled it off.

Yesterday was a big credit to Chip's ability to adjust. Last year's Lion's game comes to mind, too. Those are two examples where FF would have just kept it business as usual and lost.

I am thinking that if DMac would have been doing a play by play during the first half if he would have patted himself on the back for the boos at halftime,

Only to have to back peddle and eat his words about Foles in the second half, would have been interesting.

On another note watching that Dullas game yesterday, I realize that Aikmen had a great run with the boys, but jezz, what a homer, saying that the game would really be close if not for this and this and that.

                  depends.
if it was 2000-04 McNabb, sure
if it was 2005-06, or 2nd half of season McNabb, maybe
if it was 2007 or 2009 McNabb... nah

of course if FF was coaching a shade of doubt covers all years
thankfully that guy is not the Eagles coach

btw Foles was another blunder away from being benched for Sanchez, playing at a worse-than-most-Eagle-QBs than-Mike McMahon level... credit due to Chip to doing whatever he did to get him un-sucking that game

it's nice to have a coach who can make adjustments

The FF would have thrown on 4th and 1 at midfield, batted down of course.

Bwah ... I actually said to the guy behind me something to that effect when Sproles scored.

Interesting question. I'd guess no. The Eagles have only come back from a 17 point halftime deficit twice since the merger. Yesterday, and the Miracle at the Meadowlands 2. Neither of which featured McNabb obviously.

On a side note, the Eagles are only the 2nd team in history to win a game by 17 when they had previously been losing by 17. A little history was made in the season opener.

Kansas City 05 would be the closest

I don't know what the score was at the end of the half,,,but if I remember Donny led the Eagles back after a half Dominated by the Chefs

That box score is typical walrus. 2 first downs rushing, a failed 2 pt conversion down 17-6 in the 2nd qtr (memory doesn't serve me, but I hope that was a botched snap on the PAT and not an effort to cut it to 9). That year was the beginning of the end.
