Maybe with the Rams. Nothing he did yesterday is going get him a better offer from the Eagles than he already got. Kelly made a nice call and Maclin didn't fall down or drop it. Three other catches for 25 yards.

Hell, you'd give Allen Hurns 15M with that logic.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I see no problem in him pointing out that he got open all game. First game back. First game playing under Chip for him. It would be pretty damn pointless to cover football if all anyone said was whether they felt ok or not and which team won the game.

The article also mentioned "an undercurrent of defiance." Sounds like a bit of a head case.

Ehhh, that or maybe he's was just super pumped to be playing again, and his future looks "more" secure, good for him, now, if he's talking about HIMSELF every week, then yeah, it could be an issue.

If Maclin continues to produce, he will have his contract before the end of the season.

I think I would have to see him saying the quote to fully understand what he meant. Context is important.

I don't know BS, I really think it will come down to whether or not CK thinks he can get a bigger WR to fill that role, not taking anything away from Maclin, I just think CK sees his rec. corps as 6'5" or larger.

                Just my take on it.

Wow, NFL player shows defiance against he idea that he can't play in the NFL at a high level. Total headcase.

                  ---
There was an undercurrent of defiance to all of Maclin's postgame comments, and that defiance was as understandable as the doubts about him had been. For six months, it had been impossible for him to avoid the concerns that began coming up after the Eagles released Jackson in March: that Maclin had played a full 16-game season just once. That he already had torn his right ACL once before, in 2006. That even if Maclin could stay healthy, he was nothing more than a solid NFL receiver - one with 258 catches and 26 touchdowns over his first four years in the league - who wasn't the game-breaker Jackson was.

Your take isn't wrong. He'll want to have a reliable fast guy there, too. If Maclin establishes that he's that guy, he won't make it to free agency.

Did he flash gang signs during the interview?

                        If he blew anything else.....

...we'd have to trade him to the Cowboys.

Athletes get criticized all the time. Look at McNabb. Get over it. Let your game do the talking. You don't have to run around the locker telling everybody how you were open every play. Or play air guitar entering the field. Head case.

He wasn't running around the locker room screaming he was open. Reporters were asking him if he was getting open because they're trying to write stories about how Foles was missing open receivers in the 1st half.

Maclin responded to the reporters that he WAS getting open but that they didn't connect until the second half. If he had an attitude, it was probably because he thought they were questioning his ability to get open since blowing out his knee, not realizing that the questions were really about Foles.
