This whole situation makes me sick. No excuse for Rick to even allow Jalen to consider Nova back when his whole recruitment started. He could have chose anywhere in the nation, yet he has to go to the one school that hurts his Alma Mater.

I partially agree with this. I have no doubt that Rick begrudgingly pushed Jalen to go to Nova (why would he abruptly cancel his visit with Michigan State?). Jay's a great recruiter, but the timing and circumstances of this goes beyond him selling the Villanova brand. Brunson is a sleazeball, and shouldn't be welcomed back at Temple.

But you can't deny the fact that this is another recruit, in a long list of recruits, that his slipped by Fran Dunphy. He simply can not seal the deal, especially when competing against Jay Wright. Considering the facilities, TV exposure and contracts all now favor Temple, it's inexcusable. Watch Lavan Alston slip through his fingers now.

Every year there's 1-2 high level recruits that WANT to go to Temple that end up going elsewhere.

This falls squarely on Fran. He then tries to put a band-aid on the matter with some shit transfer with 1/2 a year of eligibility.

His talent evaluation and recruiting prowess is right there with FF's. Therefore, I am giong to begin to look at him in the same regard I did at the end of his area. He must go and I will be vocal about that this year. He's destorying the legacy of the program.

No doubt. Hopefully McKie was brought in to help fix this problem. The Brunson situation might have been beyond repair, but maybe he'll work magic on other recruits.
