I'm not exactly sure what the criteria for the rankings are, though. Like is it more of an insult to be ranked higher or lower?

if you have the opportunity for Cornell to be your safety school...if you are at that level academically, what do you do? You make Cornell the number one safety school.

If you are academically accomplished enough to go for Harvard, Princeton and Yale that's not a bad spot to be the top alternative to those places.

I'm thinking Villanova and Boston College are probably right up there for safety purposes for applicants to Notre Dame and Georgetown.
