The players have plenty of cash
They have free access to don't ask, don't tell cabs/limos paid by their teams
They have a history of killing innocent people
Its really ludicrous that this is a point of contention in any way shape or form
Given all the alternatives, if you still get popped, you're probably too stupid to deserve the benefit of the doubt. The league and the nflpa would fight over whether the sun comes up in the east. Pretty fucking weak on both sides

Nice, but I'd prefer the lair at Berchtesgaden- much more scenic
The proposal by the league is that if you are drunk enough to get arrested for DUI is that you sit out a game with pay while your case is resolved.
Maybe that's draconian in your world, but I don't think its asking too much given all the opportunity and assistance they have at their disposal
