  • Vikings say "let him play"

These teams are so insanely stupid. Innocent until proven guilty, unless it's bruises on a four year old and it's not a question of whether he did it or not but the context in which he did it. These people pulling the strings behind the nfl puppet show are soul-less, greed maniacs.

I love football and the Eagles and I'll never stop watching the NFL, but I have to say that the stuff some of these players are doing, and the lengths the league and teams are going to protect them, is really souring me a little bit on it.

What changed from when Peterson was held out yesterday to being reinstated? How fucking insulting is it after the rr fiasco? To listen to another puppet make statements that don't make sense. "Adrian playing football is more valuable monetarily and we'll worry about whether he is kid beater later"

It's gross. It's obviously about winning games and the bottom line. It's not like it's surprising though. It's always been about that. Like I said, I won't stop watching, but it bothers me in a different way than it used to. Maybe I'm just getting older. Having a kid around that age certainly has something to do with the AP issue.

Peterson has a lot more public support in this compared to Rice. Corporal punishment for children is still pretty widely accepted in the United States and had the Rice video not come out I highly doubt Peterson would have seen any action taken against him. And I think it's highly unlikely he even gets much punishment from a legal standpoint.

What makes this look worse and more of a fiasco is that the Vikings deactivated him because of the shit show that was the NFL last week. Since they probably never had to do it in the first place, they look like even more reactionary after a loss and wishy washy on player morality. That and the Vikings history of players have legal issues.

I don't have a problem with a kid getting spanked, you're taking about bruises welts and drawing blood.

I'm not condoning his actions , but just watching some of the talking heads this weekend and reading comments on various articles there are a lot of people that don't think this is a big deal. Many more it seems than Rice apologists.
