Is there enough evidence to make a correlation that Cooper needs Jackson to draw a double team to be effective? Be honest, and don't bring politics into this thread.

Remember, I was the first person on this board to fluff Coop, but he looks like dogshit right now.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

He was open and dropped a TD ... doesn't change the fact that he got open.

He beat his man and the Eagles scored a TD off a PI call.

Cooper ain't all that, but to say he's totally reliant on the missing Jackson after two games?

      Diggle is right ... stop.

I tend to agree with what Chip said about this, that having a good rushing attack brings a safety down into the box and gets one on ones on the outside. I think if you have a single high safety and Jackson and Cooper and both running 9's then the safety would probably shade Desean's way, but the defense is reacting more to the running game than the passing possibilities.

They aren't really even throwing it to him, he had a chance on that deep TD catch but it was thrown behind him...Foles was off on a lot of his throws last night, but the short ones to the RB's turned into big yardage plays. I would say Foles isn't playing as well as he did last year yet so that in turn effects Coop's play as well. This shows in the way Chip is calling plays too, more quick short passes and less deep until Foles can control it better.

            I'm with Third

I was never a Cooper fan, and this now makes THREE huge plays (that I can remember) in which Cooper's dropped balls (Queenie loves it when I say that) hurt the Birds. I can't understand why they re-signed the guy...other than they were way thin at the position.
            Officially awaiting Douchebagnacht II since

Because he actually blocks, and he dropped all of 2 passes last year, and one that was behind him in the end zone last night. They are a running team, hence the bigger receivers to block the edge. Can't believe you don't get that still.

I know its hard for you to make the distinction...

...between the job description of a position and the players' abilities and limitations, so I guess you'll have to keep guessing at the real reasons you are a board punching bag (I'm guessing a really, really heavy bag.)

Should have offered a one year, "Prove it wasn't a fluke." deal and let him walk if he didn't sign it.

So that potential TD throw wasn't underthrown by Foles? Go check the tape

It could be more of a reflection of the offense being out of sync.
