  • One thing about Foles

Diggle said he's got a little Forrest Gump in him and the more I think about it I think Diggle is right. Foles is from a family that has had good fortune and for whatever reasons has had good things going for them.

I think that's good for the Eagles. It's rare that they have been led by a QB that has good karma and seems to get the breaks.

...he said "let's make them pay" in the huddle. Anyone who ever played sports enjoyed playing with a guy like that, who is at his best at crunch time.

I would imagine it's hard to sound authoritative when puking?

Or playing with a broken ankle
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

Or just flat out choking at crunch time. I'll admit McNabb threw a nice deep ball but he couldn't hit a guy in stride on a crossing pattern to save his life. I still have nightmares about the NCCCG against the Cardinals when he missed a shit ton of open guys on crossing patterns. He was brutal that day when it really counted.

He had that amazing throw over the middle for a TD in the SB against the Pats to Westbrook (I think). Threaded the needle between two defenders.

As I watch that Foles TD to the Second Coming of Jerry Rice, I can't help to think that Foles got a bit lucky that the defender didn't turn around and just catch the ball.

He definitely has a bit of luck to him. I'll take it.

                  that pass was excellent though.

If Foles didn't have enough zip on the ball, then maybe so. Do you know how many times in a game... "if only the guy would have turned around for the ball" happens?

Neither do I, but it happens a lot.

One thing is for sure: the"Sex Panther Donnie McNumbnuts area" was all about drama.

When it comes to QBs, I don't like drama.

BTW, where is Foles' family luxury box?

The one that defensive lineman dropped in the 4th quarter wasn't.

Maybe it is saying the same thing, but I think Foles also has a little of the Slack-Jawed Yokel about him.

Yeah, I've said this same thing. The ability to appear unbothered when things aren't going well is a good quality for a qb to have.

I don't think the linebacker covering him is so much as turning around let alone catching the ball. They played the mismatch on that play. The absolute worst case scenario is foles puts it in a bad spot or Mathews drops it.

It's pointless comparing mcnabbs plays to those of foles because the offenses are very different. Foles passes out of way more favorable spots than Mcnabb did.
