  • The 3-0 Eagles

...still quite desperately need two corners and a safety. And a pass rush. And some depth at LB. Yet, somehow, they're 3-0. Amazing. And fun!

I think the biggest improvement on this club still is the ability to adjust at half time.

Even with all of the deficiencies on both sides of the ball, the team is still winning.

It has to be difficult to game plan against this team.

Every team that doesn't have Revis needs corners. That's what the NFL rule book says.

I'm fine with Fletcher and Williams. They had a bad game last week though. Nate Allen sucks.

I was surprised to hear, the Raiders actually went after Revis like 6 times this weekend, and completed 5 of those passes. Good. Never hated Revis before, but now that he's a Cheatriot, F him.

By the way, if Ifo Ekpre-Olomu is on the board when they pick this draft, he should and probably will be an Eagle. All-American cornerback who plays a physical style. Oh, and he's a Duck. Slam dunk.

I think the defense is probably 3 or 4 players away from being where it needs to be. If Smith can develop into a threat, then that number is two or three. I hope that a couple of key free agents are brought in and a couple of early picks are spent on defense next offseason.

me too...trouble is now, they so obviously need to start replacing the O-line too.

I don't know if that's a draft priority though. One silver lining to all of these injuries is that we're getting to see if any of the young guys is starter material.

People in the organization talk about Tobin as a potential future starter. Over the next few weeks, we'll see about Dennis Kelly and David Molk. If 2 of those 3 guys is serviceable, I still think ILB, OLB, CB and S are all major draft priorities over OL.

Peters is still going strong, Kelce is young so hopefully this was just a freak thing, and Johnson has yet to come back. The OL needs depth moreso than difference makers, and it's always easier to find decent depth than decent starters. Sign a decent backup and draft a guy somewhere and it should be fine, especially if some of these backups now prove serviceable.

I don't think it's any kind of stretch to say we would probably be 0-3 if FF was still calling the shots. As expected Chip has been innovative and has the ability to make adjustments along with being able to think on the fly.

Not to mention his post-game press conferences are often entertaining and interesting. FF's were beyond brutal and a cure for insomnia. I feel sorry for the KC diehards as they have to deal with his BS for the foreseeable future.
