  • The NFL Is Ruining Their Product

Penalties. Almost every play has one, they're ticky tacky and then these refs miss obvious ones.

Commercials. Score a TD, kick the XP, go to commercial. Come back from commercial, kick off, go to commercial. Guy is limping off the field, take a commercial break.

Thursday night games. Short weeks are putting horrible games on national TV.

The NFL is really becoming borderline unwatchable.

I agree, unfortunately. They think they are untouchable and can do what they want. Maybe they are, for now.

They aren't ... I read a great article about how in the 40's and 50's the fight game was the NFL of it's time.

        It's basically fucking gone.

I really don't think they're really that worried about the domestic and child abuse scandals because they think they're untouchable. In their mind, they can feign concern and us idiot fans will forget about it as soon as the first game starts on Sunday.

It's only going to get worse before it gets better, if it ever does. They look at the fans as mindless zombies who they can say and do whatever they want to and we'll keep begging for more.

Instead of regulating what they should off the field ... they think more regulation on the field is the answer.

              Bad formula.

Say what you want about Mark Cuban as a person, but as a businessman, he's one of the best. He hit the nail right on the head in regards to the NFL. The only thing he got wrong is that they're 10 years away from implosion. They keep this shit up, they won't even make it that long.

Loved that block in the back that seemed to discourage our offense as much as it did me as far as a comeback was concerned. Theres so many stupid calls, and absolutely blatant game changing ones that get missed.

2014 is definitely shaping up as a low point in league history at least so far. There are not a high percentage of great games and the ones that we see as great are just great for entertainment value, like the Giants clowning Washington, not great for being incredible athletic competitions. Penalties are way up. The league is enveloped in a PR nightmare regarding player domestic abuse. Just a big fucking mess.
