  • The One Niners TD Was Horseshit

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the #1 stipulation for a TD that the ball needs to be in the possession of a player in the actual end zone?

Sure, Johnson kept his feet in bounds, but the ball was never in the actual end zone in his possession. He has the ball in his hands, out of bounds.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I think that's a bad call.

I would like to see a side angle shot of the position of that ball in relation to the goal line, but I thought the same thing yesterday, and that one play really changed that game.

      That was also

about the 30th pass that they got off on Cary Williams. He must have been tired.

I don't think the problem is the ball being out of bounds its that it never reached the extended goalline.

          Sect,
not able to get a screen grab from the sideline angle, just going off the video here:

The screen grab you have is after he actually caught the ball AND got his feet down. Kaepernick whipped it in there and at least from these angles there's no way that gets overturned IMHO.

Let's be honest, even if there was the perfect camera angle that showed the ball never made it into the end zone...the NFL wasn't gonna let that one get overturned.

And while we're at it get rid of this "need a better angle" bullshit. I understand if you can't see something because of a player's body being in the way or something, but this league makes billions of dollars and camera technology is fucking ridiculous. Put a camera in every fucking crevice in the stadium so that you can see everything. Put cameras on wires high above the stadium too.

Fuck this inconclusive shit. I want ANSWERS!
