  • "Cracked" clavicle for Foles

I wonder if it was "cracked" before yesterday and got worse after the hit.

They are sending Foles for an MRI to determine the extent of the injury which is interesting b/c I'm pretty sure a gross injury would be apparent on an X-Ray. I mean it doesn't sound like the bone is in two pieces.

Not sure how much validity to put into it but Dr David Chao (nfl doc for 17 years) tweeted following:

NICK FOLES @Eagles season not over with clavicle fracture. Surgery & returns. Best case: "Happy Thanksgiving"
    Worst case: "Merry Christmas"
Cowboys last SB win is old enough to drink beer

If true you wouldn't think he'd be out that long

Would a chest protector shield it?

MD David Chao does a Monday Morning MD article every week at the National Football Post and gives his opinion based on film review

This week he covers Foles, Herremans and Ryans among others

Linebacker Whitney Mercilus of the Houston Texans dumped Foles on his non-dominant shoulder and simultaneous landed on him in Sunday’s loss to Philadelphia. This is usually a classic acromioclavicular (AC) joint (shoulder) separation mechanism, but with the extra force/body weight, the clavicle fractured instead.

              Lots more in the article

Interesting speculation. He sure has thrown his share of balloon balls all season. Non throwing shoulder that could still affect mechanics. All the pundits have been saying his mechanics have been off all year, even going back to the summer.

I noticed that they (sidelines staff) have seemed to have been concerned about something with Foles' non throwing shoulder for a lot of the season prior to this last game.

No surgery, 6-8 weeks according to Dr. NFL Source.

Tweets all say he's likely done for year
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

If he doesn't need surgery, I doubt it.
