  • What about Barkley?

Backup QB is like being Vice President, you are one hit away. That is why I always felt good about having Dirty Sanchez on the roster. I don't think Barkley is good enough.

      Not a matter of if...

...just when. Every QB goes out at some point.

God forbid. I'd probably rather have Charles Barkley at qb.

Chuck said he won't eat again until the Lakers win a game, so, he might be pretty svelte soon. Read option might be possible.

He would've scored at the goal line on QB sneaks at least.

I like Sanchez, and I think Barkely can win a playoff game. Like my former neighbor Scott Brunner did for the Giants.

              that is all

I actually think he could be a good QB. I think he's got the tools.

His games last year ended up being awful, but I think he was a victim of circumstance. Both weeks he went in were in games that saw the recently-returned starter go out. He likely had gotten limited reps.

What I saw in those two games as an NFL arm and a willingness to make a decision and sling it. That doesn't promise success, but it is more than you see from some backups.

I'm not saying he'll ever be a starter for anybody (I expected more out of him in the preseason), but he's got ability.

Did you really just name drop Scott Brunner and brag about him being your former neighbor to bolster your out of thin air belief that Matt Fucking Barkley could win a playoff game?

What bothers me about Barkley is that he was in this system a full year before Sanchez showed up, and Dirty made short work of Barkley being in front of him.

Why would you be bothered by a 5-year vet with two AFC Championship games taking the back up job?
