Clearly we can't compliment Matthews without pointing out that Maclin's numbers dipped last night....

Maclin certainly looks a lot less big contract worthy after Matthews' performance last night.

I think Maclin is one of the top 32 WRs in the league right now but in the second half of that group.

Was gonna leave that softball for Maniac

Read that the came plan was to attack the middle against the Kitty Kats, hence the big nights from Matthews and Celek..

Still don't understand why Ertz is so underutilized.. mind blowing actually

I bet Maclin has a big day Sunday, need all these cats firing on all cylinders to beat The Rodgers.

Those are Cooper's stats for the Tampa game, Foles' first start under Kelly and the Oakland game, the beginning of Foles as the de facto and eventual starting QB for the Eagles.

I like Matthews so far and he may very well surpass Maclin and others, but if Sanchez's performance is going to be given an mild asterisk because he was playing the Panthers, perhaps Matthews' should be as well?

Somehow I think you'll appreciate the best Eagles WR since TO after he's gone.

Somehow I think you appreciate him way too much.

One other ACL injury and he could be done forever.

Why are you so infatuated with this guy? Is it just an ITYS fight against Maniac or is it something more?

Matthews' performance last night just dropped the "pimp" Maclin down a notch, IMO.

                PS.

Top 32 right now, but less than top 16.

Injury risk and it appears they may have somebody to replace him

Don't break the bank. That money could be spent better elsewhere.

I think Maniac is just late to the party you and I started on this matter.

I'd say it is definitely something more. A large window of my life was spent watching Small, Johnson, Thrash, Pinkston, N. Brown, Mitchell, R. Brown, McMullen, Baskett, Lewis, McCants, and Curtis.

I object to the fact that you're trying to A) downplay Maclin's ability, and B) the fact that you think replacing receivers is easy, when history has shown us otherwise.

And they rewarded him by giving him a Harley to ride out of town.

I like Matthews a lot but he's only got half the yards Jackson has. That's the stat that really counts. And DJax is playing for a crap team with Moe, Larry and Curly at QB.

You gonna pay Maclin big bucks or let him walk? Obvious decision. Matthews hands are a little questionable but I'm not paying Maclin with an option like Matthews. Receivers usually make their biggest jump in their second year. Already pissed away a bunch of money on Cooper.

Andy Reid is history. Chip Kelly is the future.

                          Maclin was replaced Monday night.

what was your opinion on downplaying and dumping djax?

This is a ridiculous statement. It's one game.

Chip Kelly said in his presser that he thought before the game their inside receivers would have great matchups. For that same reason, Brent Celek had 5 catches for 116 yards.

Zack Ertz, meanwhile, had one catch for 17 yards. Does that mean that Celek is the superior receiver? Does that mean that they shouldn't try to resign Ertz when it's time because 'anyone can put up numbers for Chip'?

I agree with IE that Maclin is not top-ten in the league. However, he is the best WR we have right now. It's arrogant to not think he's worth trying to keep.
