Pretty obvious that any decent WR can excel in this offense. They paid Cooper too much. I'd reduce that as soon as it doesn't hurt the cap.

These two statements contradict a bit.

If they paid Cooper based on the belief that he can continue to excel as he already had last year, and he has struggled to even produce, doesn't that seem to indicate that it's actually not easy at all to excel in this offense?

Maclin is not the next TO, but he is the best we got. As long as he doesn't ask for top-5 WR money, you gotta at least try to keep him.
