  • Well. What were your expectations for this team going into the season?

Mine have been slightly exceeded. A playoff win would be a success.

The SF/Crudinals games could have easily been Ws.

To this point this team has vastly outplayed its talent level, which, as others have pointed out, is a testament to the coaching.

The offense has some talent and has performed well, amazingly enough with inconsistent QB play and an Oline playing musical chairs. Shady has yet to really go off. The defense, on the other hand, has always been suspect. 3/4 starters in the secondary are barely backups on a respectable team. The front 7 is solid (talent-wise) but they have yet to bring in a game changing pass rusher and the loss of DeMeco will likely prove devastating. Special teams has been great and probably even won them a few games.

In the later FF years, it seemed like piss-poor coaching was holding back existing talent. Now it's the other way around, which is why there is reason to be optimistic. CK has them moving in the right direction and Roseman (Gamble?) seems to be getting his shit together. It wasn't too long ago that this team was unbearable to watch and the players were impossible to root for…

    Discuss.

Super Bowl every year are my expectations. Even after that beat down yesterday I still think it's wide open for any team. I do think Nick Foles is a better option than Sanchez but that is my personal feelings on the matter and I am sure others will highly disagree. Next week is a must blow out win VS the Ttians. Then prepare for Thanksgiving. If they win the next 2 games then playoffs are a lock.

They are what we thought they were. The problem is Howie doesn't have 100% confidence on getting the talent in here, he has his hits and his misses. And, we are just screwed when it comes to being in position for a young first round QB, in that classic position of being punished for being too good. It's either mortgage a draft or take projects and rejects. ...and we can't mortgage a draft when we are full of holes on defense.

Last night was really the only "shit the bed" game, this team was only a bad call and three yards from being unbeaten going into last night.

I had this game as an L also, mainly because of where it was played, but I thought they would do better than they did.

I predicted 13-3 on IE's thread at the season opening, I guess they better win out.

There's no reason to freak the fuck out.

Expectations should have been tempered anyway.

Preseason, I expected 10-6 with a Divisional Championship. I now think that will be exceeded at year's end. If they don't have to play in Lambeau in January, I think the Eagles have as good a chance as anyone to go to the Super Bowl if Foles/Sanchez can cut down on mistakes.
