    Per shefter.

But, Bob "still remains in washingtons long term plans."

    This is delightful!

    Car wreck

...couldn't have happened to a better franchise.

Hope they keep up the good work.

They will be in the hunt for a top QB, Griffin could be dumped and Snyder goes after one of the top guys.

I believe if they had a consistent and solid QB they could easily be competitive again.

PFT is floating the idea of RGIII to the Iggs, or that the Skins will go to lengths to make sure he doesn't land here. I think we've finally found a more ridiculous premise than Tebow to the Eagles.

Honestly, I'd be totally OK with taking him on as a cheap reclamation project. I don't have a whole lot of confidence that it'd be a success, but a contract that allows the Eagles to keep him as a 3rd stringer for a year and actually, y'know, teach him how to play, would be very attractive.

Chip can rebuild him! He has the smoothies!

Just wouldn't want that kind of circus and attitude coming from a " backup"... I'd say keep Sanchez first.

I sort of view it like I did Vick. He'd have to show that he's really buying in -- putting in the work and being a part of the locker room.

If Griffin ends up on the market, there's no way Kelly doesn't kick the tires real hard. He's certainly got all the tools, but I can't really tell if the Redskins turned him into a headcase or just provided the situation that helped the headcasedness shine through.

He is THE GUY who featured in many Chip Kelly Offense fantasies, though, so it'd be foolish not to look into.

I was just listening to Cowherd in the car and he was saying that he thinks Bob just doesn't put in the work. Steve Young said he was told that by coaches a few months ago. It kind of makes sense. If he's a hard worker and just struggling you probably keep working at it with him. The kind of things that are being said by Gruden and others (and the fact that he's willing to bench him) indicates there's more there.

You'd have to think getting humiliated on and off the field for the last two years would prompt him to a) work harder and b) develop at least the appearance of humility. Neither has happened. I'd be wary of adding a guy like that, even as a reclamation project.

The franchise QB loved by the owner has been benched by his last two head coaches. He can't read defenses and if it wasn't for bad decisions he wouldn't make any at all. Anyone giving up anything of value for him is insane. I wouldn't want him if Washington released him outright.

Yeah, a whole lot of ifs attached to the idea. Maybe getting released or run out of town for a sixth-rounder would be the humbling experience he needs.

I guess I'm just a fan of toolsy players. But I also think Griffin would be a much different player today if he was anywhere but that dumpster fire of a franchise.
