Yesterday was not the first time Chip has called time out under two minutes with the other team facing third and long, and Eagles give up the first down. Those twenty seconds or a time out Chip saved Seattle might have been the difference between 7-7 and 10-7 at half. Another game, another situation, maybe.

Sometimes Chip needs to be a little conservative.

You could have gone into the second half with the score tied, and getting the ball to start off with the second half.
Given the way the game was going I think it would have made sense to shorten the game and hope for a break.
One thing about Kelly though, is that I think the learns from his mistakes. So maybe he won't make that mistake again. On the other hand I think he goes with his gut at times so we will see how that goes.
No doubt far better than the FF, IMO.--------

Ebb and flow happens for teams all the time and at any time.
Kelly played the percentages and lost, but I don't think it was a mistake.
It would have been a mistake to: not trust the defense to make a stop on 3rd and 13; not trust the best special teams unit in the NFL to make something happen; and not trust Sanchez and the offense to move the ball into field goal range with 1 or 2 timeouts and about 56 seconds (assuming reasonable field position) before halftime.
