  • Talk about Birds shooting themselves in the foot

Can someone explain to me if the Cowpokes and Eagles end up with an 11-5 record why the pokes wouldn't end up with tie breaker given they beat Seattle and we didn't? I think the next best scenario of us getting in is for Birds to win out and Detroit to drop their final two games. Unfortunately, they play the Bears Sunday so that's not likely. Then they go into Green Bay week 17, where they are O-23. These aren't our father's or even big brothers' Lions. One would hope Indy can take out the pokes but as good as he is, Luck has thrown a few inopportune interceptions and the Colts do have some issues on defense.

Tie breakers between teams from same division
      1. Head to head
      2. Division record--depending on who Cowboys would lose to they'd either be 4-2 or 3-3 while the Eagles would be 5-1
      3. Common opponents
      4. Conference record
      5. Net points
      6. Strength of schedule
The year the Eagles won the East in 1980 they won it on net points.
