Still reeling, but I'm still 100% behind Chip

In spite of all the negatives yesterday starting with a defensive backfield that would have trouble playing against a good high school team and once again terrible, biased officiating, we still win the game if not for Sanchez.


You always hope your backup QB never sees the field, but if he must then not for more than a few quarters; certainly not for half the season. Like the Packers or Pats would even have a winning record without Rodgers and Brady playing. Not a fucking chance.


Nothing to do now but hope for a good draft (please can Roseman before it happens) and a few good FA pick-ups. Our needs aren't that much. The Iggles become instant contenders with just a solid improvement in the defensive backfield.


Meanwhile, I couldn't even enjoy my Sunday paper at breakfast. The foreskins are acting like the just won the Super Bowl. Well, I guess for them they did - 4-12....woo hoo!


Which brings me to one huge positive from yesterday. Now Bob Griffin is practically assured of starting for the foreskins next year, and that is a very, very good thing for us.

...not even completed his second year, folks desiring his failure aren't really fans IMO....just trolls.


There is plenty to build on, a solid core of talent....some challenges this offseason but I'm not ready to burn the place down.

I like chip. I hope he's smart enough to take all of the data at the end of the year and make the best decisions going forward. To me, it looks like he needs a qb. The offense has been jagged for quite some time. It must drive him crazy.

I don't like the collapse at the end of the season. It doesn't reflect well on a coach when something like that happens. That's the kind of thing that happened to Rich Kotite. Of course you could always turn it around and claim Kelly had the team playing over their heads the first 3/4 of the season. But I still don't like the collapse.

I think how they play next weekend will say a lot about where Kelly stands.

All the turnovers and penalties are on the coach. We lead the league in turnovers and how many drive-killing (and opponent drive-aiding) penalties have we suffered through this year? That's on the coaches when it is happening with such frequency and at critical junctures.

I am behind Chip too but his GL playcalling kept us out of the playoffs this season.

Yesterday ultimately won't matter if Dallas wins today. But in desperation they did what they did against SF and Arizona. I'll never say that they should have beaten SF but they would have if Chip hadn't pulled an FF to end the game, and they absolutely should have beaten Arizona if not for a ridiculous sequence to end the game, which entailed Chip not challenging on a possible Polk TD and definite first down(wtf is his replay assistant for?)

I'm not sure which other coach would have gotten 19 wins out of this team over the past two seasons, but if I give Chip credit for that I have to blame him for his shortcomings. The weirdest thing about this team is that they're a QB away, after having a QB but nothing else for much of 2000-2009.
