  • I think Chip has a problem with Howie

Doubt he has an a ounce of respect for him as a talent evaluator.

Hopefully Howie loses power and Gamble inherits it if this turns into a chip / blowie pissing match. You don't wanna lose a football guy for a pencil necked geek who doesn't know dick about scouting.

Need guys who know their ass from first base putting your board together. Not joe banner's apprentice with his Mont Blanc and Brookstone laser pointer.

Actually, mclane wrote about this just today. Kelly's 1 word response to the Roseman question made me initially think something to is t kosher. Looks like I'm not alone:

And Howie is from Planet X, the two planetary races do like one another.

However, Lurie is also from a far away galaxy populated by sentient squids, his great powers of surrounding himself with opinionated strong willed beings but maintaining peace is one of his greatest attributes.

Chip doesn't like Howie where do you get this stuff?

His response to the question "how is your relationship with Howie" was simply "good".

Could be nothing but in a session where he spoke at length on everything asked that stood out as weird. Could be related to who asked the question but it felt a little weird to me listening to it live.

          I think you suck

Let's hope so. Can't afford to blow another first round pick next draft

I think folks just want controversy in this case...

            1) to justify why the Iggs didn't succeed this season.

            2) Ratings nothing else to report--resorting to conjecture, speculation.

            3) Mclane....not impressed with his approach.

...you suck, the thread will get some decent ratings but doesn't mean the board will fall apart.

Technically, Chip's 2 drafts weren't nearly as productive as 2012. Not sure who made the 2012 picks, but Lurie claimed it was Howie.

                  This is a reach

I don't believe it. Chip can tell Howie who and what he wants. Howie will manage the cap, but he will fetch.

Yep. Then he was asked about Tom Gamble and he went on a 5 minute praise of him.

...it's also the kind of article McLane enjoys creating.

Might be nothing. Might be something. Listen to PC though. Again, he talked ad nauseum about everything under the sun except for Roseman.

Didn't pass the smell test to me during the PC.

Time will tell if there's anything to it.

(Speculation like this is much more fun than talking about a wild card matchup!!)

Howie has a problem with Chip.

Doesn't think he turned out to be who he thought he was. Can't figure out the Barkley, Sanchez picks. Wondering why he didn't show more leadership with an all pro wide receiver instead of wanting to dump him. Thinking that Cooper must of have pictures.

The Owner thinks his team is very close to a serious shot at the Ring. So, we can fix this.

Interesting tidbit there about "team player" Jeremy Maclin ...

In October, there was a report that the Eagles had interest in Buccaneers receiver Vincent Jackson. Jeremy Maclin went to Kelly to ask how it affected him, and the coach told the receiver that decisions aren't made without his approval, according to two sources familiar with the conversation.
