I think he realized his coaching was affected by who he is coaching to a higher degree than suspected. But then again, every coach is limited by the players they have...

I think the idea he doesn't want to be the GM has a lot to do with contracts. Or maybe he's wanted this arrangement all along and could only make it happen after a couple 10-6 seasons (the second with his backup QB starting half the season, which I think does still say a lot about the guy).

Hell, Foles might be the heart of all this. The reports about the team souring on him were roundly denied by Kelly. Who the hell knows.
