Only thing I really hate about Nova

Rollie was kind of irritating and schticky, I'll give you that. But the Great John Chaney had his hysterical moments too.

20,587 people in a 19,500 seat arena...... amazing
Wed 1/9/08 Duke- 18030
Wed 1/14/12 Duke- 20,420
Sat 12/7/13 Texas- 6092
I guess the Texas game is a clunker, but the Duke games drew the crowd. I know, I know, it's Duke, but regardless, they got the crowd. Opponent has a lot to do with it. Does Nova draw 20k when they play Creighton or does playing Cuse or Georgetown not help?Last edited by Sect 236; 02-09-2015, 12:24 PM.

FWIW, US News ranks Temple Law School #61 in the country, while it ranks Villanova Law School #93. Villanova used to be #61 back in 2010, but 2010 was when Villanova Law School was forced to disclose it had been lying about its placement numbers for years and was in fact an overpriced shithole.

Wildcats playing great but
Really they have a pretty cake schedule. I cheer for any philly area team with enthusiasm hoping they go deep in the Tourney
Got to admit I have a soft spot for Iowa State living out there for 14 yrs and getting to know the program and players. I also hope they go deep.
Cyclones should be battle tested come tourney time. 7 of their last 12 games vs ranked teams apposed to the Wildcats playing a mere 2 of their last 12 vs ranked teams.
They could end up playing each other in the tourney. Got to think that schedule help the Clones in the long run

Originally posted by T.D-Bag View PostThis represented the second largest crowd to see a Villanova Basketball game at the Wells Fargo Center. The only larger turnout came on Feb. 13, 2006, when the No. 4 Wildcats hosted No. 1 Connecticut and drew 20,859 to the arena.
If only they could draw like the Owls.
They almost saw a tremendous comeback this evening after horrible shooting from everyone except Hillard and Freshman Booth.
People will second guess Ennis for shooting the 3 while down 2 with seconds remaining but it was an open look that he got to step into.
Everyone not named Hillard or Booth shot a combined 0 - 14 from 3, including Hart who shot 47% from 3 for the year. Yet, they still had a chance to win it at the end.
Pinkston and Hillard can be reasonably happy with their last performances. Both played well; although I'm sure Hilliard would like another opportunity at the two missed layups.
Nova has had trouble with teams that have a big front line and and also teams with a very quick PG. UConn had the quick guards that beat them last year. They struggled against the bigs of Xavier and GTown this year.
NCState has both. Their three bigs came out to intimidate Nova and it largely worked. They had plenty of fouls to give and they used them to their advantage. By the end of the game it almost cost them since Nova shot 90% from the line.
There are some positives from the two tournaments for Nova's future
Nova's smaller lineup seemed much more effective than the big lineup against NCState. This lineup highlights their younger players.
Jay did not seem to shorten his bench significantly during the tournament. The three underclassmen played close to normal minutes. Freshman Booth was arguably their MVP of the awful first half. They will have this experience in preparation for next year.
Center, Ochefu, was so strangely awful that there can't be any chance he'll go pro. This will give them the much needed Big they'll need to compete at a high level.
The three juniors were the ones who cost them the game, shooting 5- 27. This year the trio averaged 49% shooting. That should leave them hungry next year to show who they really are.
They should be a Top 25 team next year. While the loss of Pinkston and Hilliard is quite significant, they also add one of the best PGs in the nation. Obviously he'll be ready to contribute. They also have a red shirt F/4 for front line depth. It will be back to 4-guard basketball.

Well, I was born without the top of my skull and I guess a little bit of my brains was showin' and it was grossin' everybody out so my mom put this wig on me to cover it up and then the bones grew together and it got all infused and entwined. I mean I don't mean to get all scientific with you...
